Cal Borst
Founder
Cal, the co-founder of CJ Media, brings his videography expertise and entrepreneurial drive to propel company growth, specializing in content creation and managing large-scale video projects.
After graduating from Central Connecticut State University in December 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Cal discovered the up-and-coming industry of sports videography while preparing for graduate school. He shared this insight with Jason, leading to the establishment of CJ Media. They got their start as a business by making free content for CCSU in the early months of 2023 and have continued with many different clients since.
Outside of CJ Media, Cal is passionate about creating self-improvement content and participates in bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions. He advocates for a vegan lifestyle and incorporates meditation to maintain balance in his life.

Jason Scalora
Founder
Jason, the co-founder of CJ Media, effectively utilizes his robust communication skills and competitive drive to oversee and lead the operations of his young video production company.
During college, Jason always dreamed of starting a business. He only had a basic photography class in high school, but when Cal suggested starting a sports videography business, Jason jumped in right away. In their last semester, Jason and Cal learned all about the industry and what it would take to make their business successful. Today, Jason is never completely happy with where CJ Media is, but he always feels they’ve come further than he expected.
During Jason’s free time, he enjoys playing soccer, weightlifting, and engaging in competitive activities with. Additionally, he serves as a life coach and shares self-improvement tips on his social media platforms.

Tristan Karajanis
Videographer Director
Tristan joined CJ Media in the summer of 2024. He currently manages, train's and onboards all CJ Media videographers.
